History
Parkdale Montessori School’s journey began in January 2007 in the basement of a local church when we opened a small Casa classroom and welcomed 4 full-day students. Our little family quickly grew and for the 2007-2008 school year, we were proud to announce that we had expanded to two Casa classrooms and over 45 children enrolled.
As our specialized bilingual immersion educational program, nurturing environment, and positive atmosphere grew in popularity, our enrolment outgrew our facility at the church. There was a need to relocate to a larger and more permanent location. In April 2008, we purchased a new home for our school and the children themselves, and we moved in October.
The new location is a large residential home within steps of Reid Park, which has been totally re-designed and to which a large extension has been added. We have also expanded both in number of students and range of programs. Parkdale Montessori now has about 100 students, with programs ranging from toddlers to senior elementary, and our school includes many supportive and committed parents!
Our school facility is an ideal environment for your child to reach his or her fullest potential, develop a love for learning and a joy for life!
