"Before registering my son at Parkdale Montessori, I visited a number of other Montessori schools in Ottawa.  But it was Parkdale with its new building and bright classrooms that struck a cord with me.  My son began attending Parkdale in the toddler program when he was 21 months old and immediately developed a strong sense of belonging.  Now in his third year at Parkdale, the school has become like a second home to my son.  He is always excited about going to school and often asks if he can stay longer at the end of the day.  A weekend away from school is a weekend too long.  This is the best testimonial anyone can offer.

"We have been with Parkdale Montessori since the very beginning in 2007 with our daughter, and with our son since 2009. In a way it was our daughter's choice.  She had spent 3 months in a different bigger Montessori school, which we removed her from. We visited 3 others and when asked which one she liked best it was Parkdale....Because she felt  "safe and cozy there, like at home."

There are many things that reassure us daily that we made the right decision with Parkdale Montessori. We feel we are somewhat at an advantage because we have something else to compare it to.  We like and trust all the staff, and feel they have our children's best interest at heart. Parkdale Montessori always meet the required ratio. All the teachers are very qualified, and always welcoming to questions and concerns.  The school is run with a relaxed atmosphere, but at the same time structure is there to ensure safety and boundaries.  These are qualities that were not present in the other school we attended.
      
Parkdale Montessori's involvement in community activities is impressive as well. Over the years we have collected food for the food bank, snowsuits for the snowsuit fund, monetary donations for children in need in Ottawa and in other countries, and many more - and all these were chosen by the children. This has given my daughter a strong sense of awareness.
